Our Purpose:
Contego Cyber Solutions is a Division of Quantech Services, Inc.; a professional integrated Cyber Security division providing superior products and services focused on end-to-end systems security. Contego provides a wide array of technical and support capabilities to the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Agencies and commercial organizations.
Our Name:
The name “Contego” derives from the Latin phrase for “protect, shield, cover or defend”. We are dedicated to protecting Cyber Space for our customers and provide “best of breed” solutions in all instances of our work.
Who We Are:
Contego provides expert consulting services in the area of Cyber Security / Information Assurance (IA) and the underlying disciplines of Information Systems Security (INFOSEC), Cloud Security and Cryptographic (COMSEC) engineering, integration and implementation. Contego performs System Security Engineering as a specialty discipline under a Systems Engineering approach.
Contego provides cyber security risk management support for government and commercial data transiting contractor systems. Our cyber security analysts validate system configurations for compliance with DoD and NIST requirements, including NIST SP 800-53 controls and NIST SP 800-171 CUI guidelines. We assess compliance at all stages of a system’s lifecycle through evaluation of network design, change/configuration management, compliance audits, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing. Our cyber security specialists maintain awareness of new, critical cyber security threats, including zero days, advanced persistent threats, known backdoors, and current social engineering campaigns.
We obtain this threat awareness through relationships with DoD, federal, and commercial sources, to ensure that we understand the entire threat landscape prior to implementing system changes. We conduct thorough cyber security risk assessments to determine the current security baseline for each system. Cyber security risk assessments incorporate appropriate tests and mitigations for these new threats, along with continuous validation of the effectiveness of previously-applied mitigations.
Contego has a proven track record in program management, coupled with an excellent understanding of Systems Development, Systems Security Lifecycle, Computer Network Defense, and Boundary Protection. As Information System Security Engineers (ISSE), we evaluate targeted networks and systems and apply technical and non-technical countermeasures and safeguards tempered with reasonable and reliable risk management techniques. We exceed customer expectations through an experienced team of qualified and certified security professionals, who have been providing these technical services to the Department of Defense, Federal Government, and private companies for over 30 years.
